March is Nutrition month!
I love this month as the food & nutrition community will share information and knowledge with you all. Please join me on Friday, March 19th at 10AM (MST) with one of my favourite dietitians that I have had the pleasure to collaborate with Erin Benner from @erinsavours as we will talk about “Eating Green” from plant-based foods, reducing food waste, gardening and supporting local. I’m super excited for this event & hope you are too! To help with the limited time we will have as we go Instagram live, please DM your questions to @jcjnutrition by March 15th. We will try to answer all of them when we go Live and talk about “Eating Green”. #eatinggreen #supportinglocal #jcjnutrition #gardening #nutritionmonth #erinsavours #marchisnutritionmonth #canada

Connect with Leukemia survivor, Ambassador for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada and former Athlete Factory athlete, Jeannette Castillo and train with her coach, Nick Gies on September 23rd, 2017. I am super excited to be co-hosting this event with Nick. Fitness and Nutrition has always been a part of my life. In 2014, I trained with Nick to compete in my second fitness competition in which I placed 6th in my division! I couldn't train like the normal bodybuilder, my program consisted of intense strength training and a nutrition plan that had to work for me while still taking low dose chemotherapy. I had to still incorporate the chemo drug, Imatinib (Gleevec) into my training. This chemotherapy drug has prolonged my life and has allowed me to continue to do the things I love to do; like bodybuilding, running and swimming to name a few. Without the funding, research & technology to help find a cure for blood cancer, I wouldn't have been able to run more races and compete in two fitness competitions (and possibly more)! Please join us to help raise funds for the LLSC Calgary - Light the Night walk and awareness campaign in September, which is blood cancer month. Register for this event and let's have fun kicking cancer in the butt at our bootcamp! Help us continue the mission to help find a cure to end blood cancers. Please RSVP by August 31 and register here Feel free to connect with me at [email protected] Details of Event: Date: September 23, 2017 Registration Check-In: 9:30 - 9:55 a.m. Bootcamp: 10:00 - 11:15 a.m. Location: Stay Tuned!
